Life in South Florida has taken a lot out of me, but I've just returned from a week on Sanibel Island. And it is the perfect destination for a family beach holiday. We stayed in Loggerhead Cay, which is located a few kilometers north of Fort Myers, Florida and off the coast of St. Petersburg.
Casa Ybel offers stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and beautiful views of Loggerhead Cay. Sanibel Island offers everything from quaint inns to beautiful beaches and even a few restaurants and bars.
If you're considering a trip to Florida, Fort Myers and Sanibel Island should be at the top of your list. You could easily spend a week or two exploring Sanibel and Ft. This area is also a good stop on any fun Florida road trip you want to take.
Between these two places there is a certain yin-yang atmosphere, which has to be experienced personally. As a result, it is easier to do something in both Fort Myers and Sanibel Island than expected.
